Have a question about our Annandale, Fairfax, or Herndon centers? We’ve compiled a list of the most common questions from our parents below.

Is Rising Stars a licensed facility? Yes. Rising Stars is fully licensed by the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE). This means we don't just meet,we exceed,the state’s strict standards for safety, nutrition, and early childhood education.

What are your hours and weather policy? We are open Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM. For the safety of our families, we follow the Federal Government (OPM) schedule for weather-related closures, delays, and early releases.

What age groups do you serve? We are licensed to care for children from 2 months to 6 years old. Please note that we focus exclusively on early childhood development and do not offer before/after school care for older children.

What are your staff training requirements? Safety is our top priority. All teachers undergo thorough background screenings, including criminal records and education verification. Our educators are also trained in CPR, First Aid, and specialized STREAMin3 curriculum implementation to provide a nurturing and high-quality learning environment.

What are the steps to enroll my child at Rising Stars? Enrolling is easy! We recommend starting with a personal tourof our Annandale, Fairfax, or Herndon locations. After your visit, you’ll receive an enrollment packet. Once the forms and registration fee are submitted, we will coordinate your child's start date and transition schedule.

Do you offer a sibling discount? Yes! We love it when families grow with us. We offer a sibling discount for families with more than one child enrolled in our programs. Please contact the director of your preferred location for specific discount details.

How do you handle food allergies and dietary restrictions? The safety of our students is our #1 priority. We are a nut-aware facility and have strict protocols in place for children with food allergies. We work closely with parents to document all dietary restrictions and ensure our staff is fully trained on allergy action plans.
