Are you a licensed Facility?

Yes, Rising Stars is licensed by the Virginia Department of Education. This signifies our commitment to meeting and exceeding the educational standards set by the state of Virginia. With this license, we can assure our students and their families that we adhere to the highest quality of education, ensuring a safe and enriching environment for their learning. Our dedicated team of educators, along with our state-approved curriculum, will continue to provide a nurturing and engaging educational experience for all our students.

What are your operating hours, and inclement weather policy?

Our operating hours are Monday-Friday from 7am-6pm. We follow the Federal Government (https://www.opm.gov) when it comes to weather-related closures, early releases, and delayed openings.

What age groups does your center serve?

Rising Stars is licensed to care for children 2 months old-6 years old. We do not offer, before and after school care.

What is your staff to child ratio requirements?

2 months-15 months old 1 teacher per 4 kids

16 months-23 months 1 teacher per 5 kids

2 years-3 years old 1 teacher per 8 kids

3 years to 5 years 1 teacher per 10 kids

What requirements and training does your staff have?

As a licensed center, we take the safety and security of our students seriously. That is why we ensure that all our teachers are highly qualified and have undergone thorough background checks. We understand that parents entrust us with the care and education of their children, and we believe that qualified teachers play a vital role in providing a nurturing and enriching learning environment. In addition to their qualifications, our teachers undergo comprehensive background checks. These background checks include criminal record screenings, verification of education credentials, and reference checks. By prioritizing the qualifications and background checks of our teachers, we aim to provide parents with peace of mind knowing that their children are in capable hands. We believe that the combination of highly qualified teachers and a safe environment creates a nurturing space where children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
